Ministry Pillars
These events are the weekly pillars of our ministry on campus.
Co-Ed Bible Studies meet in the Student Living Center on weeknight evenings. Lead by Hannah and our Bible Study team, the goal is to offer an open environment for student's to ask questions and explore God's word together.
Men's and Women's Groups meet bi-weekly, focusing on gender-specific topics and accountability.
Large Group meets on Saturdays in the Student Living Center. Focusing on topics related to spiritual growth and being a Christian in the music world, we invite Eastman facutly, local pastors and alumni to share with us. In a typical Large Group, we also have a time of student-lead worship, testimonies, prayer... and whatever else God has in store for the night!
Weekly Prayer Meetings happen in the Student Living Center. Lead by our Student Leadership Team, these evening meetings are a time to build community through prayer, lift up personal prayer requests, and pray for each other.
Every week, Eastman students have the opportunity to gather with other local ACF chapters from a large group meeting. The chapters regularly collaborate on events and meet together for worship, prayer and more!
Service & Events
We build our community and reach out to bless others by hosting special events throughout the school year.
What is it like being part of our community? Here are some of the things we love to do together!
We rent out an entire bowling alley, bring tons of food...and have a great time together! Studnets get unlimited free bowling, and can invite their friends.
We'll take the students to Letchworth, or other local parks , bring food, play spots, hike and hangout together.
Cooking and eating together as a community! There likely might be a football game on in the background...
We invite friends and have a great time hanging out, cooking and eating together.
Several times a year, we come together at a local church and host worship nights for Rochester-area colleges and Agape Christian Fellowship on the RIT and UR campuses. We feature solo performances, original arrangements and a worship band of students from Eastman.
We regularly host pick-up basketball games or spontaneous spike-ball tournaments. We throw Christmas parties, host movie nights...We'll eat together, hang out, go shopping... current students should follow our Instagram (@acfeastman) and join our #GroupMe to stay up to date on everything happening!
For Valentine's Day, we work together to pack "Blessing Bags." We stuff the bags with candy, encouraging cards, stickers (and more) and leave them around the Student Living Center or give them to our friends.
During the Easter season, which also happens to be Jury Week where all of our students perform their final exams, we leave Easter Eggs in all of the practice rooms. We pack over 200 eggs, handwrite an encouraging note and stuff them with candy!
Students are invited to serve in musical worship at the Salvation Army Church across the street from Eastman. Pastor Jon and Maddy Soza have graciously welcomed the students into their church family and regularly come to speak at our meetings.
